The first week of the 2019 Major League Soccer season took place this weekend. It featured plenty of high-scoring affairs. Here is a look at which players comprise the first edition of the MLS Team of the Week. These are the eleven most impactful players from the first round of matches.
A couple of quick notes: I have tried to weigh defensive and offensive contributions. This is not a list comprised of just the ten best scorers and a goalkeeper. I have tried to make the roster balanced. I feel the Team of the Week should be able to believably play together.
