It’s that time of the year again. The MLS Player’s Union has released the salaries of every player in the league. Besides being interesting, this year’s addition shows the growth of the league salaries compared to years past, while still having a stark disparity in salaries at the top compared to the bottom.
We won’t get into the ethics of releasing everyone’s salaries or the effect of such a salary contrast, for now, but we will appreciate the transparency from the player’s union as we build our own squad.
As times get hard (and the league apparently quits covering salaries) we have been given $1,500,000 to build a competitive, 23-man squad.
