Minnesota United takes on the Portland Timbers on Saturday night at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. They are in desperate need of a win as they look to keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race, but could find it tough going against a formidable Timbers side.
Portland, meanwhile, is hoping to challenge the might of FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City at the sharp end of the West. They are not yet assured of a playoff spot and so will be as desperate as Minnesota to earn the three points.
