Minnesota United lost in dramatic fashion to Toronto FC last weekend. Then, in midweek, they drew 0-0 with the Los Angeles Galaxy. And now, to end this three-match week against three of the elite MLS teams, they host a D.C. United side sitting pretty at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Minnesota still have a terrific opportunity of rivaling the best in the West, but they have some points to make up, starting on Sunday against D.C.
