Minnesota United reportedly sign Swiss full back Jérôme Thiesson

As reported by Ives Galarcep on Goal.com, Minnesota United have reportedly acquired full back Jérôme Thiesson from Swiss side FC Luzern. Terms have apparently been agreed upon, and Thiesson is now just awaiting his P1 Work Visa, which may or may not be processed in time for Thiesson to be available for Minnesota’s season opener. As a part of the deal, Minnesota will send 50k of GAM to Toronto FC, as Toronto had initially held the player’s discovery rights.

An experienced defender, the 29 year-old Thiesson has made 98 league appearances for FC Luzern in his native Switzerland over the past 5 seasons, and has 9 appearances this season.
