Minnesota United FC pops out of last place with D.C. United win

Minnesota United FC came out on top, by far, with a clean sheet. D.C. United enthusiastically welcomed G Bill Hamid back from Gold Cup duty. But three of the four home shots on target got by him in the shutout.

A 58th minute Minnesota score was an own goal.

D.C. strikes back

D.C. United players fought back. They made 18 shots, five of them on target. They won 47-43 duels and 14-12 tackles.

The result: Minnesota United FC broke their four-home-game winless streak and D.C. United failed to score for the first time since July 5.
