The club announced that they had reached agreements to bring both striker Christian Ramirez and winger Miguel Ibarra to Minnesota United. Ibarra and Ramirez starred together for Minnesota’s NASL team for several seasons, becoming what many considered to be the most formidable attacking duo in NASL during that time.
Ibarra moved to Liga MX side Club Leon during the 2015 season, while Ramirez stayed in Minnesota for the team’s last season and a half of NASL play. Ibarra struggled for playing time in Mexico, registering a goal and an assist in just eight league matches during his one and a half years with Leon.
