Minnesota United: 3 things to watch for vs. Sporting KC

Here are three things to watch for when Sporting Kansas City comes to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota United.

We start with No. 3.

3. Ibson injured

Brazilian midfielder Ibson is reportedly dealing with a thigh injury that kept him out of Friday’s training session. The injury pretty much guarantees that either Maximiano or Collin Martin will get the start next to Rasmus Schuller.

Maximiano provides more defensive ability, however he is more of an unknown than Martin, having only played about 60 minutes with the Loons. In the game they both played in though (a mid-week match against LAFC), Maximiano looked the better of the two central midfielders.
