Something on the lighter side of the game, as we wait for the big USMNT World Cup Qualifier tonight in Panama. Bringing an idea from London, Sanjay Patel has created what could be the next wave of inner-city soccer leagues.
As reported on Southeast Makers, Patel teamed up with the Atlanta transit system, MARTA, to create this one of a kind pitch. Utilizing old parking grounds, this fully functional soccer pitch now creates quicker access to the game for both kids and working commuters.
As it turns out, the concept is not only unique to Atlanta, or the US, but is the first of its kind world wide.
