The marquee matchup of the week turned out to be a statement victory for Los Angeles FC, in what Matthew Doyle described as one of the greatest regular season performances in MLS history, as they won 4-1 against the Seattle Sounders.
Carlos Vela was the star of the show once more for LAFC. The Mexican forward scored a brace to raise his season goal total to 10. Other goals came from Eduard Atuesta and Christian Ramirez for the home side.
But the real match-winner for LAFC was the midfield. Mark Anthony-Kaye registered three assists and was named Man of the Match, while Atuesta, along with notching his own goal, was superb in controlling the game alongside Kaye.
