It was a cold and windy day as the Chicago Fire hosted LA Galaxy at Toyota Park. The match itself was not anything to write home about for either club.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal in first-half stoppage time proved to be the deciding factor, with the Galaxy coming away with an important three points on the road. Ashley Cole sent in a nicely placed cross that found the rising Ibrahimovic who made no mistake from close range.
David Bingham, at the other end, made four saves in net to record his second clean sheet of the season, a crucial clean sheet that ensured LA would be heading home with all three points in the bag.
