Johan Cruyff was one of the greatest players to ever lace up the boots. Unfortunately his greatness on the pitch could not help him overcome his battle with cancer as he passed away Thursday morning at the age of 68.
Cruyff is remembered for his time at Ajax and Barcelona, and for helping bring to life the “Total Football” brought to prominence by the Ajax and Dutch National Teams in the 1970’s. He continued to revolutionize the game as a manager laying the foundation for the “tiki taka” style at Barcelona.
As a player, Cruyff had an incredible ability as a passer.
