Two years after their surprising run to the finals, Jamaica is back to winning ways in the Gold Cup, topping Curacao 2-0 in San Diego. The win comes off Jamaica’s loss to Curacao in the Caribbean Cup earlier this year.
Jamaica made a lot of changes from that squad that lost 2-1 to this same side in June. Romario Williams scored in the 58th, beating Eloy Room near post to open the scoring. The Reggae Boyz doubled their lead thanks to a Darren Mattocks goal in the 73rd minute.
Captain, and Philadelphia Union keeper, Andre Blake led the backline filled with MLS players to another shutout.
