The Chicago Red Stars came into their Week 6 clash against the Houston Dash after playing against what can fairly be said as one of the strongest teams the NWSL has to offer in the North Carolina Courage. And the Dash are no exception. So, it says a lot for the Red Stars to win and move top of the standings.
The game started off with the Red Stars immediately on the front foot dominating the game. Only eight minutes had passed when Michele Vasconcelos released Sam Kerr, splitting the Houston defense. Kerr then rounded the keeper and eventually slotted the ball home.
