Toronto FC will play in their second of three away games on the bounce when they take on FC Cincinnati on Saturday night at Nippert Stadium. The Reds are coming off of a disheartening 1-1 draw in New England wherein the outfield player’s solid performances were undone by keeper Quentin Westberg’s fumble in the 86th minute. Cincinnati, meanwhile, lost their third match in a row last week as they were dominated by FC Dallas in a 3-1 defeat.
This weekend’s match-up has very different implications for each team. FC Cincinnati are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, and thus will use this game to help determine whether unproven players and youngsters could have a role at the club next season.
