The San Jose Earthquakes announced Monday that they and General Manager John Doyle would be parting ways after 9 years. Technical Director Chris Leitch was named interim General Manager after the decision was made.
During Doyle’s time with the team, the Earthquakes only made the playoffs twice and won the supporters shield after having the best record in 2012.
This move obviously shows the Earthquakes are ready to move in a different direction after a lack of results the past 9 years. The Earthquakes never made those transfers to put them over the top or even make them a respectable team in the west.
