Well, that was not how I expected that to play out. Los Angeles FC, travelling to an excellent D.C. United, who had conceded the fewest goals in all of Major League Soccer, dismantled their hosts to the tune of a consummate 4-0 victory.
If there was any doubt regarding LAFC’s quality prior to the Week 6 tilt, and there really shouldn’t have been, then there certainly isn’t any now. Diego Rossi and Carlos Vela were phenomenal again, with a controlling midfield and improving defence anchoring the best attack in the league.
