Davies Leads Canada to Gold Cup Win

When I was 16, I was sitting through Chemistry class, or playing video games. Alphonso Davies is netting braces in the Gold Cup, and leading Canada to a 4-2 win over French Guiana in their Gold Cup opener.

Let’s be clear, giving up two against a non-FIFA side in their first major tournament is not good. In fact, Canada fans might have gotten very nervous once their 3-0 lead was trimmed to 3-2 after Sloan Privat made it 3-2 in the 71st minute. Davies came to the rescue and finished off the scrappy side with his second goal.
