The Miami MLS franchise (to be) was involved heavily in the news cycle this past week. With reports of land secured for a future stadium site having fans breathing easier, thoughts turned to a head coach.
Reports originating out of Spain have Roberto Carlos pegged as the man David Beckham will pursue to be the first head coach for his Miami franchise. According to a report on MLSsoccer.com, former Manchester United player Paul Scholes was also under consideration. The report went further saying:
“former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes was Beckham’s first choice, but he is looking at Carlos to make in-roads to Miami’s prevalent Spanish-speaking community.
