Costa Rica’s Salvatierra open once more to MLS move

He resigned his contract with the clause just this week. As for MLS, almost a year ago Salvatierra agreed to a deal with FC Dallas. But questions on a physical muddied the transaction and he stayed with his home club.

Ian Quillen of MLSSoccer.com adds that Costa Rican talent continues to spill into MLS ranks. If Salvatierra signs a deal, he says as many as 10 Costa Rican MLS players would appear in the country’s next national team event.

Savatierra’s MLS cred

Salvatierra made his professional debut in 2010. He followed the next year in his senior debut for Costa Rica against Cuba in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
