Columbus Crew entered the playoffs in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. After holding off Atlanta in a shootout the Crew the laid waste to New York City FC in leg one of the East semifinals. Barring a complete meltdown, it is likely Columbus will be playing in the conference finals this season.
