The Chicago Fire were frustrated once again at home on Friday night as the Men In Red drew 1-1 with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The first half of the contest was truly woeful, with neither team able to handle the rough weather conditions early on. Vancouver would take the lead after Yordy Reyna capitalized on a goalkeeping error to simply pass the ball into an empty net. Chicago would manage to grab an equalizer with five minutes to go thanks to video review.
A handball in the box wasn’t called at first, but after turning to VAR, the referee pointed to the spot.
