Chicago Fire Vs New York Red Bulls: 3 things we learned – It’s happened again

The dreadful 2019 season for the Chicago Fire continued its downward spiral on Friday night as the Men In Red lost 3-1 to the New York Red Bulls in Harrison, New Jersey. After dominating early on, Chicago somehow managed to concede after a woeful first touch from goalkeeper Kenneth Kronholm made its way to Kaku, who simply passed the ball into the back of an empty net.

The away side continued to create chance after chance, but the Red Bulls grabbed the next goal after Brian White finished off a devastating counter-attack. A late goal from Nemanja Nikolic gave the Fire some hope, but Daniel Royer put the contest to bed for New York in stoppage time.
