Chicago Fire Vs New England Revolution: 3 things we learned – The Francisco Calvo debut

The Chicago Fire put on a show Wednesday night, steamrolling the New England Revolution 5-0 at SeatGeek Stadium. It was an absolutely dominant performance from the Men In Red, who outplayed their opponents from the first whistle to the last.

Nemanja Nikolic opened the scoring at the half-hour mark, before grabbing his second only ten minutes later. Chicago put the game to bed with fifteen minutes to go as Brandt Bronico cut inside before unleashing a rocket into the top corner. The Fire added two more late on the counter, Aleksandar Katai set up Nicolas Gaitan for a tap-in before Przemyslaw Frankowski nutmegged the keeper to make it five on the night.
