The Chicago Fire have always hinted at having a blistering attacking set-up. But rarely have they been able to put it all together. Well, on Wednesday night, against an admittedly hapless New England Revolution, the Fire unveiled their offensive explosion.
The Fire scored five goals, the first time they reached that figure all season, with Nemanja Nikolic notching his first brace of the year also. Nicolas Gaitan was instrumental throughout and scored his first goal for the Fire, while the Revolution folded in what is another concerning defeat.
