Chicago Fire Vs FC Cincinnati: 3 things we learned – Rock bottom

The Chicago Fire’s 2019 season hit a new low on Saturday night as the Men In Red lost 2-1 to last place FC Cincinnati at SeatGeek Stadium. The away side took a shock lead in the opening minute of the game, Allan Cruz pouncing on a loose ball in the area to poke home from close range.

Chicago would get the chance to equalize from the spot when CJ Sapong was taken out near the half-hour mark, but Nicolas Gaitan could only hit the post from the resulting penalty attempt. The game was postponed moments later, a lightning storm in the area forced the players to return to the locker room.
