Chicago Fire Vs D.C. United: 3 things we learned – Bore draw… whatever

The Chicago Fire 2019 season continues to simply roll along as the Men In Red failed to win at home once again, this time being held to a 0-0 draw by D.C. United at SeatGeek Stadium. It was arguably the tamest contest of the campaign. Neither team ever got going offensively.

The Fire came closest to scoring, but the shot from Dax McCarty was cleared off the line. There was some controversy, however, as Chicago were denied a clear penalty after a D.C. defender’s hand deflected the ball in the penalty area. It wasn’t called, though, and both teams were forced to settle for a point, which does not really help either.
