It only took 83 matches in Major League Soccer, but Atlanta United finally beat Toronto FC. Both teams managed a 2-2 draw in the first three meetings before a 4-1 Toronto win in the fourth meeting. Wednesday night, Atlanta exorcised their great northern demons with a very convincing 2-0 win.
With another clean sheet, the Five Stripes now have clean sheets in three-straight matches and in four of their last five. It is no coincidence that all of those clean sheets produced wins during this stretch. The defense is finding its stride and really starting to come together.
