Atlanta United won their second game in a row on Sunday night, dominating Sporting Kansas City to the tune of a 3-0 scoreline. Josef Martinez scored twice, accompanied by an Ezequiel Barco goal, with Atlanta wasting chances to add a few more.
Martinez, last year’s league MVP and Golden Boot winner, scored in the 39th minute and sealed the game with his second in the 76th minute. Barco scored in the 47th minute and officially assisted Martinez’s second goal. His shot on goal in the 39th minute also led directly to Martinez’s first.
