Atlanta United dropped points yet again in a 2-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders that saw individual defensive errors gift the Sounders with two goals. This loss came after defensive errors cost Atlanta three points just a week prior against the New York Red Bulls in a 3-3 draw. Atlanta have not won in MLS play since June 29th, their only win in five games since the summer international break.
Following the loss and all of the weekend’s results, Atlanta now sit fourth in the Eastern Conference. The Five Stripes are in a tough position since they are in the middle of a brutal stretch that sees the team play nine games in 31 days.
