A lack of finishing in the second half sunk Atlanta United on the road in New England on Wednesday night. Josef Martinez sent King Peach into the break with a 1-0 advantage but a late, soft penalty leveled things for the New England Revolution.
Numerous odd-man breaks were created in the second half, but thanks to a combination of poor finishing and fortunate goalkeeping, Atlanta were rooted at just one goal on the night.
The Revolution pressed Atlanta over the first 50 minutes and pinned the King Peach deep in their own half, creating most of the NE attack off ATL mistakes.
