It’s been a rough start to the 2019 MLS season for Atlanta United. The club crashed out of the CONCACAF Champions League while trying to balance the beginning of MLS. The Five Stripes began their MLS campaign with two draws and two losses. While their two losses came against two teams that may be the best in the Eastern Conference, their two draws were with subpar competition.
Atlanta’s next opponent falls under the latter category. The New England Revolution have not made the playoffs since 2015 and are constantly struggling in a league where teams seem to be pushing into a new era.
