Atlanta United: 5 key players to watch against DC United

Atlanta United’s first game of the season did not go well in any sense. There were very few bright spots and no player really stood out. However, Atlanta gets to play in front of their raucous supporters for the first time this season on Sunday against arch-nemesis D.C. United.

Atlanta struggled in its three matches against DC last season, managing to lose all three of them. This season both teams look much different. DC has retooled its midfield drastically, including the addition of Atlanta United inaugural standout Yamil Asad. It will be interesting to see how the Five Stripes react to such a poor first showing.
