Although his official transfer to Atlanta United has not yet been officially announced, it is a deal that will happen before the 2019 season starts. That gives Atlanta four Designated Players, with Martinez joining Miguel Almiron, Josef Martinez and Ezequiel Barco. By the start of the season, that number must be down to three.
