Atlanta United just finished a grueling stretch of eight games in 28 days this weekend with a 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire. In that span, the Five Stripes won six matches, posted six clean sheets, outscored their opponents 13-3, and took 18 of a possible 24 points. The team did well despite traveling over 10,000 miles and facing four teams currently above the playoff line. And they had to do it all without Ezequiel Barco, arguably the best player of the season up until that point.
Now Atlanta are almost top of the Eastern Conference, which is an impressive turnaround after such a dismal start to the season.
