Two goals in Germany highlighted the week for U.S. players around the world. Bobby Wood and Timothy Chandler found the back of the net for their respective clubs in the DFB-Pokal.
Chandler’s goal came against TuS Erndtebruck as Eintracht Frankfurt would go on to win their first round match by a final score of 3-0.
Wood would find the back of the net from the penalty spot in HSV Hamburg’s 3-1 loss to Vfl Osnabruck.
Joel Soñora would find the back of the net for Stuggart II in a 2-2 draw against Kassel.
Elsewhere in Europe, goalkeeper Ethan Horvath would get the win in net for Club Brugge in Belgium.
