Amauri’s first NASL goal came a little over a week ago against Miami FC and fellow Italian Alessandro Nesta. Amauri was subbed on towards the latter part of the match and finished off the game for the Strikers by burying a Jose Angulo cross.
This past weekend’s story was a bit of the same, only with a cherry on top for Strikers fans. Fort Lauderdale opened up a brand new stadium in Central Broward Stadium and saw Amauri score the first ever goal.
That’s right, the summer signing opened up the scoring in the 17th minute, giving the Strikers the advantage against a dangerous Canadian side.
