Although Portland’s Providence Park doesn’t have the smallest capacity in MLS, the team carries a season-ticket waiting list of over 13,000. Thus the proposal of the $50 million project for the Portland Timbers.
That sounds like a lot per seat: $12,967. But the Timbers’ Stadium expansion project promises more than just adding to the 21,144 currently at Providence Park.
The expansion includes a street-level colonnade and a “pedestrian friendly” public arcade.
