The MLS season has officially finished after the conclusion of the MLS Cup final on Sunday between Toronto FC and the Seattle Sounders. Now it’s time for teams to look ahead to 2017, as the league is set to welcome two new clubs, Atlanta United and Minnesota United, with the MLS Expansion Draft.
So far, Atlanta has looked to be the better prepared club, as they’ve signed 13 players so far. Minnesota, according to their website, has only three players on their MLS team. However, the Loons were competing in the North American Soccer League throughout 2016, and couldn’t really look ahead to the 2017 MLS season until the last couple months.
