Noah Wilson, who made an indelible mark upon the world long before his loyalty and love for the Kansas City Royals turned him into a motivating force behind the team’s run to the World Series last season passed away on Tuesday after a battle with various cancer-related ailments. He was seven years old.
Wilson, diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a bone cancer, was declared free of the condition following his last round of radiation treatment in mid-June. But the family learned recently that he had leukemia. He began chemotherapy on Monday.
Noah was an incredible boy,” Scott Wilson, Noah’s father, told The Kansas City Star on Wednesday.
