Yasiel Puig Credits Breaking out of Slump to Playing Baseball Video Games

Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig had been batting .179 in July up until Wednesday night against the Oakland Athletics, when he bombed a two-run dinger in a 10-7 win.

According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, Puig had a peculiar explanation for getting back on track:

Yasiel Puig on ending slump: "I just stopped playing soccer video games. I've found, when I play baseball video games, I do better."

As Mike Cardillo of The Big Lead points out, Puig is on the cover of MLB 15: The Show, for what that’s worth.
