One of the most iconic figures in baseball history died Tuesday.
The San Francisco Giants announced Hall of Famer Willie Mays died at the age of 93. The announcement said he "passed away peacefully this afternoon."
Josh Dubow of the Associated Press relayed a quote from Mays' son, Michael, that said, "My father has passed away peacefully and among loved ones. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my broken heart for the unwavering love you have shown him over the years.
