A trio of the most attractive coaching options in baseball has come available, but is there anyone capable of taking the reins?
As the 2015 MLB season came to a close, it became readily apparent that the Padres’ Pat Murphy would be out of a job. The manager meagerly guided his underachieving team to an early-season exit prior to the playoffs. While the playoffs may be in full swing, the Padres cannot hesitate in pulling the trigger on their favorite choice. If they do so, one of the other teams looking for a new manager (such as the Washington Nationals, Florida Marlins, or Seattle Mariners) may swoop in and steal one of the best options out there.
