With U.S.-Cuban relations warming, what does it meaning for MLB’s international market?
With President Obama visiting Cuba and the Tampa Bay Rays set to play an exhibition game in Havana against the Cuban National Team on Tuesday, it’s pretty clear the way the United States views Cuba, both politically and economically, is changing. As both sides seem to be pushing closer towards ending the embargo that has been in place for 66 years, MLB could suddenly be facing a whole new wave of ballplayers coming from Cuba, and it will have to find a way to deal with them.
