Mike Trout exploded onto the scene when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim called him up a few years ago. Since then, he’s been arguably the best player in baseball. He can hit, run, and field his position. He’s a six-tool player.
And he doesn’t have to hit 50 home runs a year to maintain his image in baseball. As fans of the game, we’ll settle for admiring the shear height and distance on his moonshot homers. We can live in awe of the blazing speed he shows on the basepaths or the cat-like reflexes he shows in the outfield.
