WATCH: 108-year-old woman throws out first pitch for Mariners

The baseball trash-talk phrase “You throw like your grandma” took on a whole new meaning at Safeco Field this weekend.

Evelyn Jones — who celebrated her 108th birthday Saturday — became the oldest person ever to throw out a first pitch before the Seattle Mariners’ game against the Los Angeles Angels, and scouts everywhere are raving about her major league potential. Well, not really, but even though Jones may be a few years past her prime, she throws better than any grandma we’ve ever seen.

Looks like she decided to go with the Chad Bradford submarine approach.
