The Boston Red Sox made history against their rival New York Yankees on Sunday night.
In the series finale against the Yankees, the Red Sox set a new franchise record for stolen bases in a single game, taking nine on the night.
Five different Red Sox players stole bases on Sunday, with shortstop David Hamilton taking the franchise-record ninth base in the eighth inning. The plethora of stolen bases led to a comfortable win for Boston in the final game of the series.
The Red Sox have been one of the best teams in the majors this season when it comes to stealing bases.
