Toronto Blue Jays keep dealing, acquire Cliff Pennington from Arizona Diamondbacks

The Toronto Blue Jays made yet another move on Saturday, when they acquired infielder Cliff Pennington and cash considerations from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Minor League shortstop Dawel Lugo.

Pennington, 31, will most likely take Munenori Kawasaki‘s spot on the 25-man roster. He has played shortstop, second base, third base and left field this season, making him a versatile option off the bench for the Blue Jays. However, he has struggled mightily at the plate this year.
