Tommy Hanson, Former MLB Pitcher, Reportedly in Coma

Former Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tommy Hanson is reportedly in a coma.

According to Zach Klein of WSB-TV in Atlanta, the pitcher is in an Atlanta hospital. Klein also tweeted that a source told him Hanson suffered "catastrophic organ failure." The source said: "We need prayers. We need him to wake up."

The Angels responded to the situation Monday:

Sending our thoughts to former #Angels SP, Tommy Hanson, at this time.
