Tim Tebow Needs Time in Minor Leagues Before Reaching MLB, Says Brian Jordan

As a player who went from the NFL to MLB, Brian Jordan is a valuable reference when it comes to Tim Tebow.

The 15-year major league veteran—and three-year NFL veteran—told TMZ Sports on Thursday that Tebow "still needs a lot of time down in the minor leagues."

On the bright side, Jordan said the Mets minor league outfielder is "progressing along and getting better."

Tebow will begin the 2018 season playing for the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies after spending last season in Single-A. He hit .226 with eight home runs in 126 games last year across two levels.
